Nearly 10 years

November 16, 2022 at 12:52 pm

Next year, it will be 10 years since I became a published author. Yes, it’s hard to believe that The Heir (Verindon #1) was published nearly 10 years ago. Wow, how time does fly! And it’s still selling. I made some good sales at Brisbane Supanova a couple of weeks ago. It’s good to see that The Verindon Trilogy still generates interest. I had a lot of fun at Brisbane Supanova with Adele Jones and Jeanette O’Hagan. It’s always heaps of fun to see what everyone’s wearing. I was also able to wear my new costume, which I had taken […]

Events are coming!

May 26, 2021 at 9:36 am

Things are opening up more in 2021 and I’m happy to say I’ll soon have some events happening. The first will be the Omega Writers Book Fair on 31st July. I’ll be taking part in a panel talking about book marketing; always a challenging subject! Watch this space for more details as the event draws closer. There will be another book fair in August with more details coming soon. Then I will be looking at Brisbane ComicCon and Supanova later in the year, so hopefully you’ll see me there. 🙂 It’s great to have some things to look forward to. […]

An Eventful Start

May 22, 2019 at 11:11 am

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, mainly because I’ve been so busy! It’s been an eventful start to the year, with many things going on. I enjoyed attending Gold Coast Supanova with my author friends Jeanette O’Hagan and Adele Jones in April. It was a lot of fun and I was able to wear the brand new costume that my mother-in-law had made to dress me up as a character from my books.  She did a fantastic job and only finished it twenty-four hours before I left to head down to the coast! I’d also had my friend, Naomi […]

A Milestone Weekend

November 17, 2018 at 9:29 am

This time last weekend I was at Brisbane Supanova having a fantastic time. I attended with my good friends, Adele Jones and Jeanette O’Hagan, occupying the Rendered Realms stall. It was a fantastic weekend with a lot of good chats, a lot of compliments for people wearing great costumes, and thankfully, a good number of sales. Of the three of us, I think Jeanette sold the most. People couldn’t get enough of her fantastic fantasy books, which you can see here. As usual, Adele impressed with her knowledge of science, included in her entertaining Integrate trilogy. Click here for more […]

Illnesses and interruptions

August 5, 2018 at 2:48 pm

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to blog but I thought I’d better make time, especially now I’m getting back in the saddle, so to speak. In the middle of the celebrations for the fifth anniversary of The Heir’s release in June, I injured my hip to such an extent that I was hospitalised! Fortunately, the online marketing I’d planned was already organised, so it proceeded on its merry way while I convalesced. However, the hip problem had an unexpected snag that has proved difficult for someone who earns her living editing and tries to spend a good […]
