I think a lot of people will be glad that we’ve finally reached the end of 2020. I know I am. I hope that next year will prove a lot easier for many of us. We haven’t had it as bad as many people out there who’ve lost jobs and livelihoods, and here in Australia, we’ve done pretty well overall with managing the virus, so much so that my time shopping this morning looked pretty normal for this time of year. It’s been a long while since I’ve written a blog. I’d blame the pandemic, but I’m not sure it has to take full responsibility, although it had a surprising effect on me. It made me insanely busy. But first things first – the launch of The Verindon Alliance went well. When I realised I would finally have another new full-length novel released in 2020 after more than three years, I was excited. I anticipated a round of launches, signings and events, delighted to have a new book to share with everyone.I never imagined all those plans would be scuttled by a pandemic. Of course, many people have far greater worries at the moment than whether they can get out of the house to tell people about a new book.
