I had an amazing time at Gold Coast Supanova this past weekend, at the Rendered Realms stand with Adele Jones and Jeanette O’Hagan. It was busy pretty much from the get-go. It opened at 10.00 am, and I think someone said the convention carpark (which is HUGE) was full by 10.30 am. There were people everywhere. Just because a convention is busy doesn’t always mean we sell a lot of books. Fortunately, this time, it did. If all things stay as they are, it looks like Supanova will be going ahead on the Gold Coast in April. I will be there at the Rendered Realms stand with Jeanette O’Hagan and Adele Jones on the 16th and 17th April, 2021. It will be our first event since March 2020, when COVID brought everything to a halt. I’m trying not to get too excited, as I know an outbreak could happen again and suddenly we’ll be plunged into lockdown, but we’re doing well here in Queensland and the vaccine is being slowly rolled out, so I’m hopeful it […]

This is my first blog post of the year and the title should give you some idea why. The first two months of the year have been full of editing (both my works and others) and the next few months are full of events. The most exciting news is this. I have a short story in a soon-to-be-released anthology called Challenge Accepted. It includes seventeen stories by different speculative fiction authors (my friend Jeanette O’Hagan is one of them).
