Updated Verindon ebooks available now!

August 2, 2023 at 8:39 am

The ebook versions of all three books in the Verindon trilogy have been updated and given new covers and are now available for sale! It was a lot of fun and sometimes a bit difficult to go through all three books, especially since The Heir (Verindon #1) was published ten years ago. I have learnt a lot as an author in the past ten years and I was fortunate to get the opportunity to spruce it up a bit. I also needed to change a couple of scenes, like the one where Sarah uses a payphone. That simply wouldn’t happen […]

Happy anniversary to me!

June 1, 2023 at 6:55 am

It’s ten years today since my debut novel, The Heir (Verindon #1) was released. It’s been a hell of a ride, with more ups and downs than a roller coaster. I feel quite proud that I’ve managed to last this long as there are a lot of lows as well as some incredible highs in this life. I’d like to celebrate by offering free paperback copies of my trilogy. I have three full sets of the Verindon trilogy to give away, as well as seven additional copies of The Heir (Verindon #1). I am happy to send them anywhere in […]

Fabulous weekend

April 19, 2023 at 9:17 am

I had an amazing time at Gold Coast Supanova this past weekend, at the Rendered Realms stand with Adele Jones and Jeanette O’Hagan. It was busy pretty much from the get-go. It opened at 10.00 am, and I think someone said the convention carpark (which is HUGE) was full by 10.30 am. There were people everywhere. Just because a convention is busy doesn’t always mean we sell a lot of books. Fortunately, this time, it did. I had my most successful event ever, and Adele and Jeanette had some decent sales as well. It was fun, energising and entertaining. I […]

Verindon omnibus coming soon!

March 8, 2023 at 10:38 am

It’s exactly ten years this year since The Heir (Verindon #1) and The Crown (Verindon #2) were released. The Reign (Verindon #3) was released in May 2014, completing the trilogy almost a year after book one. I’m excited to announce that all three will be re-released this year as an omnibus edition. Happy ten-year anniversary to me! I have taken the opportunity to spruce up the books a little, updating them where necessary. I had mention of a payphone in The Heir; that definitely had to change! Little things like that needed to be adjusted, so I have spent a […]

It’s Christmas time again

December 15, 2022 at 12:24 pm

Yes, Christmas is here again and it’s time to reflect on 2022. There were some challenges this year, many to do with my journey as an author. There were delays and problems surrounding the release of my latest book, The Verindon Conspiracy, but that’s all over and done with now. Copies are out and I have moved on to the next project. Next year marks 10 years since The Heir (Verindon #1) was released. It’s amazing to think that I’ve been a published author that long and I’m so happy I’ve managed to last the distance. Hopefully, I’ll last another […]

Illnesses and interruptions

August 5, 2018 at 2:48 pm

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to blog but I thought I’d better make time, especially now I’m getting back in the saddle, so to speak. In the middle of the celebrations for the fifth anniversary of The Heir’s release in June, I injured my hip to such an extent that I was hospitalised! Fortunately, the online marketing I’d planned was already organised, so it proceeded on its merry way while I convalesced. However, the hip problem had an unexpected snag that has proved difficult for someone who earns her living editing and tries to spend a good […]

Oztober 2017

October 20, 2017 at 5:36 pm

I’ve been involved in a lot of events in October, especially ones online, and it’s been great to take part in some new things (new to me, anyway!), such as Virtual Fantasy Con, which is still running this weekend, and last weekend’s Indie Fab Festival. But this weekend we also have Oztober, an event that features Aussie writers and their science fiction, fantasy, steam punk, horror and supernatural titles. It’s the first time I’ve been involved in Oztober, and I’m excited to see how it goes. It was also great that it happened in October, right when my publisher and […]
